Chinese Numerology has been around for at least 4,000 years and is based on the Lo Shu Square as seen on the back of the tortoise as legend goes. It is not based on the Lunar years and is easy to understand at a basic level.

There is no value or space for “zero” in Chinese astrology. For example if  your birthdate has 0 in it then you can disregard it, as it has no significance. Only numbers from 1 till 9 are used while assigning the numbers in the Lo Shu grid and no person has a date of birth which shall fill all the nine squares of the Lo Shu grid. You just need your birth date, month and year for calculations. Every number is symbolic of certain human traits. Therefore, a person will possess the characteristics of the numbers that are present in their birth date and the repetition of the numbers in one square will add a different meaning to their characteristic.

The Lo Shu grid is as given below and the placement of the numbers in your birth date has to be done accordingly. All you have to do is to allocate the numerical digits in your birthdate to the respective squares. For example if the birth date of a person is 15-09-1987, you have to put it in the respective squares as below.

The person  will possess qualities related to numbers 1 (twice), number 5, number 7, number 9 (twice). You can check the qualities from the table below.

The person can be identified as communicative yet reserved, as they will choose when they want to talk about an issue or whether they rather be left alone. Caring so as not to hurt anyone intentionally. Will prefer to learn through their own experiences and not just take everything for granted. Number One

A person with a single “one” in their chart is unable to express their innermost thoughts. They can have difficulty understanding other people too. A person with two “ones” in their chart is able to communicate well. They are able to understand another person’s opinion. A person with three “ones” is a chatter box. However, they can also be silent and uncommunicative at times. Oftentimes, such people are employed in the field of communications. This shows how much a person is sensitive and perceptive. A person with one “two” is sensitive, but can easily have their feelings hurt. They are fast to recognise cunning people. A person with two “twos” is very bright and intuitive, making them a good psychic. A person with three “twos” is more sensitive and can be reclusive. A person with four “twos” is at times so impatient and finicky that they can be very difficult to handle. They often prefer to be a loner as people find them a little weird. A person with one “three” has an excellent memory and a clear view of his goals. They are positive and natural born leaders.
